About Our Coaches

Keith Bugbee

Keith Bugbee will enter his 35th season as the head men’s lacrosse coach at Springfield College during the 2016-17 academic year. Currently one of the winningest coaches in collegiate lacrosse history, Bugbee also serves as an assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College.

Under Bugbee’s leadership, Springfield College men’s lacrosse remains one of the top programs in the country, as under his direction, the Pride has produced an overall record of 377-182, good for a winning percentage of .674.

Bugbee's teams have competed in 31 post-season tournaments, including 22 NCAA Tournaments, and won a national championship in 1994. Forty nine of his players have received All-America recognition, including Bob Felt, who was voted the 1994 U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Player of the Year.

Bugbee became just the seventh coach in NCAA men's lacrosse history to reach the 300 career win milestone after he bested Mass. Maritime, 21-4, on April 23, 2011. The following Saturday, Bugbee's squad toppled MIT, 15-5, bringing Bugbee's win total to 301 as he passed legendary coach Dick Garber for the most wins in New England Lacrosse history.

Won the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse National Championship in 1994, and has won nine-consecutive conference championships, making it 10 conference championships in the last 11 seasons.

Ryon Lynch

The Pride has been in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament in each of the past 10 seasons, with Lynch having a part in six of the trips as either a student-athlete or graduate assistant coach.

After a decorated four-year career with the Springfield College men's lacrosse program from 2010-2014, Lynch served as a graduate assistant with Springfield for the 2016 and 2017 campaigns, where he focused on the offensive side of the ball. During his time at Springfield, Lynch earned his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and his Master's degree in Athletic Administration.

A two-time Pilgrim Lacrosse League Player of the Year while playing attack for the Pride, Lynch capped off his illustrious career with 84 points, including 32 goals and 52 assists during his senior season. His 84 points were the seventh most in the program's single-season history, while in his career, Lynch totaled 227 points, the sixth-most in program history. A USILA Honorable Mention All-America selection in 2014, Lynch's 133 careers assists is the third-highest total in Springfield history.

The coaching staff was very polite and always eager to get the day started. The coaches always kept my boys engaged and I thought they got a lot of the camp. My three boys attended this camp and all three of them loved it!
