Overview
Sparks Field is one of the top small college fields in the Pacific Northwest. The artificial turf facility is located next to the Sparks Athletic Complex on the beautiful Willamette University campus. We’re excited to host the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps at Willamette University. Join us and have fun while improving your lacrosse skills!
Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and scrimmages are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!
About Our Coaches
Coach Carl Almquist is the Boys Lacrosse Coach at Hillsboro High School.
Coach Almquist has rebuilt a program that was on the brink of closure into one of the most diverse programs in the State and has been recognized as Coach of the Year for the Pacific Conference.
In addition to Hillsboro, Coach Almquist has coaching experience at the club level with Madlax Oregon, Rose City Lacrosse, and Lacrosse Northwest. He has also directed and coached lacrosse camps in the Pacific Northwest.
Almquist played defense at Hillsboro High School for four years. He continued his playing career at Portland State University where he played midfield, long stick midfield, and defense.
Coach Almquist is excited to bring his experience and passion for the sport to the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps.
Camp Details
Overnight Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Sunday. Campers should be picked up at 4PM Wednesday.
Extended Day Campers: Check in at 12PM-1PM Sunday (9AM every other day). Campers should be picked up at 8:30PM Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and at 4PM Wednesday. (Lunch and dinner are included)
Make sure campers bring all necessary lacrosse equipment (lacrosse stick, gloves, shoulder, arm and rib pads, helmet, mouthguard, cleats/turf shoes, etc.), a refillable water bottle, and sunscreen.
