So, you want to head to lacrosse camp this summer. That’s exciting! Knowing where to find camps in your area isn’t a problem, but you’re trying to weight which kind of camp you’d like to attend.

As you can see on our Gamebreaker Lacrosse Camp website, there are a few options to choose from, but the fundamental difference between them is whether you want to stay overnight or not. Obviously, participating in overnight camps include you spending multiple days away from home, but what’s the difference like on the daily schedule?

If you’d like to participate in a day lacrosse camp this summer, a typical day runs from 9am to 3pm, and looks like this:

9am: Arrive; Stretching and warm-up

9:15: First session – individual skill work

10:15: Lax Talk & All-Star Demos

10:30: Break

10:45: Positional training

12pm: Lunch

1:00: Second session – Team concepts

2:00: Team games

3:00: Campers depart

The usual itinerary for overnight camps is a little more full because you’re with us for longer! Here’s what your schedule could look like if you sign up for one:

7am: Wake-up

7:45: Breakfast

9:00: Stretching and warm-up

9:15: First session – individual skill work

11:15: Lax Talk & All-Star Demos

11:30: Free time, Extra help

12pm: Lunch, swim

2:00: Second session – Team concepts

3:00: Team games

4:30: Free time, Extra help

5:30: Dinner

6:30: Chalk talk

7:00: Team games

8:30: Back to dorm, movies, pizza

10:30: Lights out

So, it’s pretty easy to see that with the extended time during overnight camps, players have more of an opportunity to receive extra instruction in honing their skills. What if you’re looking for a longer day, but would rather go home to your own bed each night? There’s a solution for that! We also offer extended day camps that provide the best of both worlds in this case. Here’s what a typical schedule over four days would look like:

Day 1

12pm: Registration

1:00-2:00: Orientation

2-4:30: Afternoon lacrosse session

4:30-5: Free Time

5-5:45: Dinner

6:00-8:00: Night lacrosse session

8:15: Pick-up

Days 2 and 3

8:45am: Drop off at fields

9-11:30: Morning lacrosse session

11:30-12:30pm: Lunch

12:30-1:30: Free time

1:30-4:00: Afternoon lacrosse session

4:00-5:00: Free time

5-5:45: Dinner

6:00-8:00: Night lacrosse session

8:15: Pick-up
