OVERVIEW

GameBreaker Lacrosse is proud to return to Roxbury Latin School in Massachusetts, for an action-packed girls’ summer lacrosse academy. Designed to enhance individual stick skills, positional techniques, and team concepts, the academy also features daily scrimmages to help players put their training into practice. With flexible options for both full-day and half-day campers, this program accommodates a variety of schedules. Combining top-notch coaching, excellent facilities, and a fun, engaging atmosphere, this academy is an ideal opportunity for young athletes to improve their game and create lasting summer memories.

ACADEMY Director

Abby Ananian
Abby AnanianHead Coach, Newton North High School

Coach Ananian is the Former Head Coach for the Newton North High School Women’s Lacrosse program. Coach Ananian was at Newton North from 2017-2023. Before her time at Newton, Coach Ananian was the assistant coach at Simmons College, a star player at St Joseph’s University, and a standout player at Belmont High School.

During her time at St Joseph’s University, Abby was a standout player, starting in every game from her sophomore to her senior year. Abby was named to the All-Philly team and was a member of the SJU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. During her senior year she was ranked second on the team in goals, assist, and points while posting a shot on goal percentage of 77%. In her junior and senior sessions, she also led the team in draw controls with a total of 115,

Before attending St Joseph’s University Abby had an amazing career at Belmont High School. At Belmont she was named a two-time All-Eastern Massachusetts player, Boston Herald All-Star, All-League First Team, and Belmont team MVP selections (2010, 2009), 2010 U.S. All-American High School Showcase selection, 2009 Academic All-American, and in 2009 earned a spot on the Lower New England First Team. As a sophomore Abby also led Belmont to first state tournament in the program’s history. Throughout her four year career at Belmont High, Abby started on the varsity team and as a senior she was voted team captain, All-League First Team and team MVP. She is also permanently etched in Belmont High School’s record book, holding the record for most career points (308) in the programs long standing history.

What to Expect

At GameBreaker Lacrosse Academy, every player can expect positional training through a well-rounded curriculum tailored to all ages and ability levels. The academy’s primary goal is to help young athletes improve in all aspects of their game. With a strong focus on individual skill development, campers will also engage in drills designed to enhance teamwork and game understanding.

Key features of the academy include a low camper-to-coach ratio for personalized attention, groupings based on age and skill level to ensure appropriate challenges, and a fun, energetic, and experienced coaching staff dedicated to creating a positive learning environment.

DAILY SKILLS BREAKDOWN

Individual & Group Stick Work

  • Compete in scrimmages, camp championships, 6s style games and 7v7 games to test and showcase skills in a competitive yet supportive environment.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Check in/out: All campers will check in daily at 9:00 AM. Full-day campers will check out at 4:00 PM, while half-day campers will check out at 12:00 PM.

Age & Ability: Our academy is open to girls ages 6-16, with the half-day option available for girls ages 6-9. Players of all abilities and skill levels are welcome to join and participate.

Meals: Campers are to bring their own lunch.

Make sure campers bring all necessary lacrosse equipment, a refillable water bottle, & suggested items in the camp packing list. NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED
