Camp Director
Emily Kiablick is in her 14th season as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Wheaton College in 2022-23
Despite Wheaton’s top offensive player missing most of the season with an injury, Kiablick’s ability to recruit depth came to the forefront as the 2022 squad posted the highest win total at Wheaton since 2015 and nearly pulled off an upset road victory in the New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference Quartefinals. The NEWMAC Tournament appearance continued a trend that has seen Kiablick guide the Lyons to post-season play in every season the conference has sponsored the tournament during her tenure in Norton, including eight Semifinal berths in the last 11 seasons.
The Wheaton mentor is all-time winningest coach in school annals with 116 victories and has coached two Conference Players of the Year, a Rookie of the Year and 60 All-Conference honorees throughout her coaching career, including 44 from Wheaton.
In 2014, Kiablick guided the Lyons to their best season in program history since its NCAA Tournament run in 2004. Wheaton posted 14-7 record that season for the second-highest win total in school history, claimed NEWMAC Regular Season and Tournament titles and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. For her efforts, Kiablick was named the NEWMAC Coach of the Year for the second time in her career.
In 2013, Wheaton produced an 11-7 overall record and perfect 6-0 mark in NEWMAC play en route to earning the No. 1 seed in the conference playoffs and its fourth regular-season Championship in program history. The Blue and White eventually bowed out in the NEWMAC Tournament Semifinal round. Wheaton had five student-athletes claim NEWMAC All-Conference honors highlighted by Leila Mills’ Player of the Year selection. Three student-athletes were also tabbed to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team, while Mills and Devon Soucier collected Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA) Berkshire All-Region team accolades.
In 2012, the Lyons doubled their win total from the season before, posting a 14-6 mark overall and 4-2 record in the NEWMAC. Wheaton advanced to the NEWMAC Tournament Semifinals for the second straight season under Kiablick and won the ECAC Championship with a 20-5 victory over Smith College. Kiablick earned NEWMAC Coach of the Year honors for her efforts, while coaching five players to NEWMAC All-Conference accolades. Academically, six of the program’s student-athletes were named to the NEWMAC All-Academic Team while the squad as a whole earned Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Team Academic honors. Hailey Colburn ’12 also garnered CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America honors becoming the sixth student-athlete in school history to earn such an academic distinction.
Prior to her arrvial at Wheaton, Kiablick spent the previous six years as both the Head Women’s Lacrosse and Soccer Coach at Roger Williams University.
While with the Hawks, Kiablick led the 2008 lacrosse team to a 14-5 mark, the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship game and an Eastern College Athletic Conference Semifinal contest and earned CCC Coach of the Year honors for the second time in three seasons. Kiablick received her first top coaching award from the CCC following the 2006 campaign after increasing Roger Williams’ win mark by a total of eight victories.
Kiablick, who also served as RWU’s Events Coordinator, was named the school’s first-ever Women’s Soccer Head Coach following the program’s inception in 2004. Three years later, the Hawks were playing in the ECAC Championship in 2007, followed by their first NCAA Tournament appearance under Kiablick’s watch in 2008.
During her time in Bristol, Kiablick founded, directed, and coached lacrosse and soccer camps. She was also one of four coaches featured in a Rhode Island Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) series called “Rhode Island’s Amazing Women: Successful College Coaches” and provided subject material for an instructional book titled “Winning Lacrosse for Girls.”
