Camp Director
Coach Kelsey Darcy is the Head Lacrosse Coach at Cheshire Academy. Coach Darcy started playing lacrosse when she was in first grade. Being the youngest of 4 siblings meant she did as her siblings did, except when her dad signed her up for lacrosse. Coach Darcy was recruited to play prep school lacrosse as a junior in high school and graduated from Cheshire Academy in 2019. Growing up, she played club lacrosse, was recruited by several schools, went on to play college lacrosse, and traveled abroad to play other national teams.
Coach Darcy’s coaching journey began in high school when one of her coaches asked her to assist with her daughter’s team. That experience was transformative—seeing young athletes express how they wanted to be just like their coach shifted her perspective on the impact of coaching and ignited her passion for the role.
Now entering her seventh year as a coach between prep school, youth, and club, Coach Darcy can truly say that coaching has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. She thrives on working closely with athletes, especially in guiding them through the recruiting process. Over the years, she has helped numerous players find the right collegiate fit, sending athletes to play at all levels of NCAA lacrosse.
Supporting athletes, helping them grow both on and off the field, and seeing them achieve their dreams—especially when they sign their college commitment letters—is the highlight of her career. Coach Darcy feels that it is an honor to be a part of her athletes journey and witness all their hard work come to life.
