OVERVIEW

GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps is thrilled to return to George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, for an action-packed boys’ summer lacrosse camp. Designed to enhance individual stick skills, positional techniques, and team concepts, the camp also features daily scrimmages to help players put their training into practice. With flexible options for both full-day and half-day campers, this program accommodates a variety of schedules. Combining top-notch coaching, excellent facilities, and a fun, engaging atmosphere, this camp is an ideal opportunity for young athletes to improve their game and create lasting summer memories.

Evan Rodger, a dedicated figure in the Virginia lacrosse community, currently serves as the True Lacrosse (’27) Head Coach and the Lacrosse Program Director at Washington-Liberty HS (Arlington, VA). Coach Rodger graduated from McLean HS (’99) before his playing career at Clemson University and later serving as a Video Coordinator at Georgetown University. Now, with over a decade of high school and travel lacrosse coaching in Virginia, Coach Rodger has guided numerous teams across the mid-Atlantic region. Coach Rodger prioritizes teamwork and individual skill development, fostering an environment where everyone is involved and positioned to succeed. He instills a deep appreciation for the game in his players through a fun and relaxed coaching approach.

Coach Howard’s journey in lacrosse began at Freedom High School in Woodbridge, where he was a standout four-year varsity athlete and a three-year captain as a midfielder. Coach Howard’s athletic prowess continued at Greensboro College, where he excelled as a two-sport athlete, playing both football and lacrosse. His commitment to lacrosse deepened when he transferred to St. John’s University in Queens, NY, focusing solely on the sport as a defensive midfielder. His hard work and dedication earned him a prestigious Big East All-Academic award during his senior year. Throughout his college years, Coach Howard was actively involved in coaching, contributing to the Triad Youth Lacrosse Organization in Greensboro and working at various Pro Lacrosse Camps in Virginia during the summers. After graduating, he returned to his alma mater, Freedom High School, to lead the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Program. For the past ten years, he has served as the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator, guiding and inspiring young athletes. In addition to his high school coaching, Coach Howard has been instrumental in developing future lacrosse stars through the St. James Boys Travel lacrosse programs. His extensive knowledge and expertise have helped shape countless student-athletes, preparing them for success both on and off the field.

The camp’s primary goal is to help young athletes improve in all aspects of their game. With a strong focus on individual skill development, campers will also engage in drills designed to enhance teamwork and game understanding.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Check in/out: All campers will check in daily at 9:00 AM. Full-day campers will check out at 3:00 PM, while half-day campers will check out at 12:00 PM.

Age & Ability: Our day camp is open to boys ages 6-16, with the half-day option available for boys ages 6-9. Players of all abilities and skill levels are welcome to join and participate.

Meals: Campers are to bring their own lunch to camp.

Make sure campers bring all necessary lacrosse equipment, a refillable water bottle, & suggested items in the camp packing list. NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED
