Boys Lacrosse Summer Camp at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex - Spokane
Dwight
Spok, WA 99205
Overview
Dwight Merkel Sports Complex is a 76-acre facility with multiple soccer and softball fields as well as a variety of other updated sports facilities and amenities. Named after Dwight Merkel, the city’s most influential figure in the development of athletic competition for children, this facility is one of Spokane’s largest sports venues. We’re excited to host the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex. Join us and improve your lacrosse skills this summer! Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and scrimmages are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!
About Our Coaches
Coach Matt Miller has coached lacrosse for over 5 years and is excited to return to the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps. Coach Miller is the Defensive Coordinator for the Boise High Lacrosse Club. He has also coached the Varsity U18 teams for Lilac City Lacrosse Club.
Miller competed in lacrosse at Boise State University, playing Long-Stick Midfielder for four years. Miller has served as Travel Coordinator, Vice-President and ultimately President of the club. Under his leadership, the Broncos defeated the University of Oregon to become the first team in Boise State history to win their conference and the first team to compete at the national tournament.
Miller has over 15 years of experience playing lacrosse. Growing up in Spokane, WA, Miller was a four-year Varsity starter in high school, earning All-State honors for midfield and long-stick midfielder in his Junior and Senior years. Miller played Select Lacrosse for Rhino where he was able to travel and compete all over the country. Miller also played for the Lilac City Lacrosse Club..
Coach Miller is looking forward to using his knowledge and experience to help campers reach their full potential.
