Assistant Coach at the University of Maryland Lauri Kenis will be directing this popular GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps at Emory University.

In the 2009 season the program went a phenomenal 21-1, including a run to the NCAA Final Four and ACC Tournament and Regular Season championships. Kenis helped mentor five All-Americans, including IWLCA Midfielder of the Year and ACC Player of the Year Caitlyn McFadden. Head coach Cathy Reese also garnered ACC and IWLCA South Region Coach of the Year honors while Karri Ellen Johnson was named ACC Rookie of the Year after tallying one of the finest freshman campaigns in Maryland women's lacrosse history.

No stranger to an elite-level defense, Kenis was a two-time consensus first team All-American defender at Virginia and helped the Cavaliers rank in the top-ten nationally in scoring defense in each of her four seasons. With Kenis on the field, Virginia advanced to the NCAA finals twice and to the ACC finals twice. A four-year letter-winner, Kenis was a two-time all-conference honoree while earning NCAA and ACC All-Tournament accolades.

After graduating from Virginia, Kenis stayed within the conference and entered her first stint with Maryland for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Kenis aided the Terrapins to a 27-12 record and a pair of NCAA appearances in her first stint as an assistant coach under Cindy Timchal. In 2004, Kenis guided one of the top defenses in the nation as the Terps allowed just 7.90 goals per game which was tops in the ACC and fifth in the nation. In 2005, the Maryland defense again held opponents under 10 goals per game as it allowed 9.21 per outing.

Kenis then traveled out to the University of Denver for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. The Pioneers went 16-3 in 2007 and ranked ninth in the NCAA in scoring defense, allowing just 8.86 goals per game. The Pioneers also ranked 17th in caused turnovers per game. In 2006, Kenis' Pioneer defense ranked 13th in the country allowing 8.65 goals per outing as they went 15-5 under Reese who was head coach there for three years.

The Haverford, Pa. native ranks third all-time in Virginia history with 107 caused turnovers and started every game in her final two seasons in Charlottesville. She was a two-time member of the Virginia All-State team and ranked second on the team in ground balls and caused turnovers in her junior and senior seasons. Kenis was also a member of the US National Elite team from 2003-2005.

Kenis graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education.
